On March 3 and 5, 2017, at the Gainesville Woman’s Club:
Gainesville, Florida….radio-style dinner theater that invites the audience to come in costume….The Heroes of Bent Fork Bluff:
In 1876, when a charismatic con man comes to a drought-stricken Texas town promising rain, everyone’s in for a big surprise–including him. Our play is a blend of comedy and romance flavored with a dash of satire.
Our fourth annual benefit performance for Gainesville schools.
Laughs Take a Holiday
For the third year, radio-style dinner theater has benefited Florida schools with performances at the Gainesville Women’s Club.
Set on a cruise ship bound for Cuba in 1956, “Laughs Take a Holiday” follows the misadventures of a group of amateur birdwatchers, a radio comic trying to come to terms with TV, and an Oklahoma cattle queen fixing to bust loose from her marriage. In what’s becoming a tradition, the dinner theater audience came out for the 2016 gala “decked” out in Fifties attire.
