The Southwest Harbor Library event on June 3 was an adventure for all, and a good time for those who jumped the wall or pushed through construction to get to the reading and snickerdoodles. After the reading of Chapter 1, we had a great discussion and an encore.
The Bar Harbor event on June 5 took place in the vintage 1911 Jesup Library, a charming, classy place that would make a great movie set. After a reading from Chapters 2 and 3, there was another long, lively Q and A.
As for Sherman’s Books in Portland, it’s a fine new store in the heart of the rejuvenated city and a grand venue for perusing Maine lit in particular, including, of course, DOWNEAST LEDGE.
